Chairman of Midway: Midway Needs New Water System
It’s a predominantly Maya village that was established decades ago, but Midway Village in Toledo has long outgrown the capacity that its water system can supply. Chairman of the village, John Bo, told News Five on Saturday that the water pressure is low because of the number of people the system has to serve. So now, the villagers are appealing for a new water system.
John Bo, Chairman, Midway Village, Toledo
“The priority here in Midway is the water system in terms of dry season, so the well is kind of low, so we don’t have enough water so even the water tower itself doesn’t have enough pressure to serve most of the people behind the village. The one that is working right now is built by the village of Midway so we need a new water system.”

“And the pressure is low right now?”
John Bo
“Low water pressure, yeah.”
