Body Discovered in Shallow Grave in Hattieville

The body of a man was discovered inside a shallow grave in Hattieville Village earlier today. A resident happened upon the ghastly site several yards off the George Price Highway at the approach to the Hector Creek Bridge. Scenes of crime personnel, as well as police investigators, were at the location for several hours as they exhumed the body. Residents from the village, as well as friends and relatives of two men, who have been reported missing, stood watch from the shoulder of the highway, concerned if the victim was their loved one. What is apparent is that the victim was killed and then buried in an attempt to dispose of the body. News Five spoke with a resident and friend of Leroy Fuller, better known as Timba, who has not been seen or heard from since Monday night.

“This morning we received calls, it went word a mouth throughout the village that it could be a villager. We heard that there was a shallow grave that was found and so many of the villagers made their way this side near the entrance of the Hector Creek Bridge. If you can see footage, we have scenes of crime out here, the local police officers, medical examiners are on the scene as well as several members of the community. No official word has been given as yet as to who has been found, if any, so we are just waiting.”

Duane Moody

“I think it is concerning for you guys because there is a villager that is missing?”

Sharlette Jacobs

“We believe the villager to be missing, but in hindsight we are just waiting on the confirmation to know if it is that person or if that person may have just gone visiting somewhere else. But you can never be too certain in these conditions. And so the fact that the scenes of crime is here, a shallow grave was found, it is all wisdom that we wait and see what the officers are going to tell us.”

Duane Moody

“That villager that is presumed missing is Leroy Fuller, right?”

Sharlette Jacobs

“That is, as it were, without confirmation.”

Duane Moody

“I am understanding that here you could see that there is a pair of slippers that belongs to him as well that has been found on the side of the highway.”

Sharlette Jacobs

“Well it would appear that it is his, but no confirmation like I said as yet has been given that those belongings actually belong to him or that he is the person there. We understand that there are other missing individuals as well.”
