YMCA gains full status in world body
Belize’s Young Men’s Christian Association now stands as a full member of the global YMCA organization. The change in status from associate to full-fledged membership was accomplished last week at the fourteenth World YMCA Council held in Germany. Seven hundred delegates from one hundred and twenty five countries attended, including one hundred and twenty youth delegates. On hand for Belize were Melissa Balderamos, Gilgardo Cardona and youth delegate Jose Swasey. The World Council is held every four years.
