Stabbing in front of Li Chee leaves 1 hospitalized
One man is in critical condition at the K.H.M.H. following a stabbing incident at the well known Li Chee Restaurant on Freetown Road. The incident took place last Friday night at about nine o’clock when the fast food restaurant was crowded with patrons. Nineteen year old Vince Mitchel of Belama Phase two was wounded on the shoulder and stomach. According to police investigations, Mitchel was along with Samir Fernandez purchasing food when a blue Chevy car drove up. In the vehicle were three persons. One of them alighted from the vehicle, started an argument with Mitchel, and this was followed by another who allegedly pulled out a knife and inflicted the injuries. Both assailants then boarded the car and fled the scene. Police soon recovered and impounded the Chevy car and have since detained a seventeen year old and charged him with Attempted Murder, Use of Deadly Means of Harm and Dangerous Harm. Mitchel is currently in a stable but critical condition at the hospital.
