Younger Paguada Brother Hurls Allegations at Police
Not long after the attack, police had a good idea who they believe had committed the crime. They detained Delson Paguada and his younger brother, Tionne, who escaped custody during a bathroom break and posted a live Facebook video, during which he practically claimed that police on the island were harassing him and his brother ever since their father was killed due to gang violence five years ago. Tionne and Delson are currently before the courts for previous charges of murder and attempted murder in San Pedro. Both were out on bail on December thirtieth, when Bowens was killed in the downtown area. In his live post, Tionne made several serious allegations which we can’t air, but we bring you portions of his comments where he claims that he has been framed since the age of fifteen.
Tionne Paguada, On Bail for Escape
“I was released on bail because of the grades I had and good behaviour. Thanks to Mr Dawson and the judge that gave me an opportunity back here in society. Ever since I was out, I didn’t get myself in any problem. It’s been three years since I have been out and still I’m constantly battered by the police. The thirtieth of December I was at home along with my family. I was playing Pop-G with my brother from twelve in the afternoon til five in the evening, when we decide to go work on our engine because we had to go diving in the morning. We reached home at six, we stayed there all night. At nine in the night, I received a call from my mother saying that someone was shot. The cops came looking for us way home. At the time we were sleeping. It was around eleven-thirty to twelve in the night. They searched the entire house looking for guns like we are any criminals. They said that someone is calling our name from some tourist that died. They handcuffed my brother and I together and took us in the vehicle, laughing and taunting us.”
