ComPol: The Warring Factions in San Pedro is Over Drugs
As we reported on Tuesday, twenty-four-year-old Delson Paguada and thirty-three-year-old Lucio Salazar have been jointly charged with the murder of American national J’Bria Bowens, who was fatally injured in San Pedro on December thirtieth. Police say the twenty-three-year-old student nurse was sitting in the back of a golf cart with her family when three members of a street gang, armed and ready prepared to unleash carnage, spotted someone from a rival gang. Two of the three who carried guns opened fire. The weapons of choice were prohibited firearms – assault rifles, according to Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams. They missed their target, but mortally wounded Bowens.

“I’m not going to say the amount of rounds fired, but yes, an assault rifle was used and from what we gathered is the shooters came from along the beach and they had those dive bags that divers would normally use that have the dive equipments, and they walked into the park and saw the person of interest. They put the bag down, opened it, took out the firearms and opened fire towards him. We do have the playadors who continue to walk the beach and look for drugs and again the rivalry between the two factions in San Pedro is over drugs.”
