Three city residents charged for San Pedro murder
On January thirtieth San Pedro police were summoned to an area some seventeen miles from town, where the bullet-riddled body of Paul Saldivar was discovered. Today police report that they have arrested and charged three persons in connection with the murder. The three are twenty-eight year old Shelton Tillett of George Street, twenty-eight year old Micah Thompson of Plues Street and twenty-one year old Charles Woodeye of West Canal and Dean Streets. The trio was remanded to the Hattieville Prison and charged with Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder. Police have linked Saldivar’s murder to the illicit drug trade. Four days after the discovery of his body, police found two more shooting victims, Edwardo Gutierrez and James Swan.
