BNN Condemns Gun Violence Following Ramnarace Brother’s Murder

The Belize Network of Non-Governmental Organizations (B.N.N.) has issued a press release expressing its profound sadness, following the murder of brothers Jon and David Ramnarace and attempted murder of their wives in Belmopan. B.N.N. says it joins Jon’s colleagues at the Turneffe Atoll Sustainability Association (TASA) and his former co-workers at the Wildlife Conservation Society (W.C.S.) in honoring his memory as a true friend, a good Belizean and a loving husband and father. In the same vein, B.N.N. brought to the fore the tragic murder of American tourist J’Bria Bowen in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye and the October 2022 murder of marine biologist Celso Cawich in Harmonyville. B.N.N. says it stands ready to support and lead, if necessary, efforts to identify the immediate, short and medium term steps that need to be adopted to ensure the safety of citizens on the street, at the workplace and in our homes.
