Body of Luke Hansen Discovered
On Saturday, after days of search, the body of Luke Hansen was recovered from the Belize River, in the vicinity of Banana Bank. It was the third day of a search effort and Belize Coast Guard personnel, as well as members from the Belize Search and Rescue Team, were back on the river along with family members when the discovery was made. The eight-year-old boy drowned last Wednesday afternoon when he went swimming with his brother and a cousin. The body was handed over to the Belize Police Department where a post-mortem exam will be conducted.
