Resort owners report additional crimes against tourists

Intensive investigations are becoming commonplace these days as citizens throughout the country are beginning to wonder just what has gone wrong in the jewel. Three men are still being sought in Sunday’s murder of a tourist in Maya Beach, a gang of men who shot up a car carrying three Mennonite girls is still on the loose and the May second murder and mass robbery on the Hummingbird Highway is hardly what you’d call solved. While gathering information on the most recent murder in Barton Creek we were informed by resort owners in Cayo that a tourist was recently jacked at Xunantunich and a woman visitor raped in the vicinity of Clarissa Falls. The officer in charge of the San Ignacio Police Station told News Five that he was unaware of these two incidents, while the officer in charge at Benque Viejo was not available for comment.
