O.W. man wins latest Courts cash

The third winner in the Courts Serious Cash Two draw today traveled to Belize City from Orange Walk, but it wasn’t for shopping. Instead, Jose Baeza had an appointment with Courts Advertising and Promotions Executive Anamarie Bennett to pick up his five thousand dollar check. According to Baeza he bought a queen-size bed from the furniture and appliance store last month. After filling out the entry tickets for the draw, Baeza says he never again thought about his purchase… except for the monthly payments. Shortly before midday on Saturday, however, the boiler attendant at B.S.I.’s Tower Hill Sugar Factory says he could hardly believe his ears when he got a telephone call from Courts.

“Yes I know there was a raffle but I forgot about it. I forgot, I never had it in mind so I was very surprised when they gave me the news. To be frank, I don’t have no plans right now because it’s something I never expect, but I will put it to good use, that’s for sure. I hope that Courts continues to make this same policy and it might encourage more people to make business with Courts.”

After the fifteen percent deduction for tax, Baeza takes home four thousand, two hundred and fifty dollars. The last Courts five thousand dollars draw for the year will be held in September, after which the prize goes up to ten thousand dollars in October, twenty thousand in November and fifty thousand dollars in December.
