Man crushed to death in St. Paul’s Bank
A sixty-four year old man from St. Paul’s Bank was crushed to death in an accident on Saturday morning. A police report says Basil Thompson was about to clear a knot in the rope that was being used to move a wooden house, when the loader pulling the house rolled forward and pinned him against the building. Thompson was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in critical condition and died the following day. A post mortem examination revealed that he died of hypovolemic shock caused by bleeding in the pelvic cavity.
