Truck driver dies in Coastal Road accident
A Belize City man was killed on Monday afternoon on the Coastal Road when the truck he was driving overturned. According to police, twenty three year old Alfonso Avila was transporting diesel to the Citrus Company of Belize around three thirty yesterday afternoon, when upon reaching a curve at mile thirty on the Coastal Road, he lost control of the vehicle and overturned. Avila, who was trapped inside the truck, sustained head and body injuries and is reported to have died on the spot.
