Two of five escapees from Y.E.A. are captured
Two of five inmates who escaped from the Belize Prison Authority’s Youth Enhancement Academy last Thursday night, have been recaptured. Eighteen year old Stuart Jones was brought in to the Academy in Ladyville on Saturday and twenty-year-old Fransico Vasquez was recaptured today. The three still at large are: twenty-three year old Glenford Baptist who is serving time for robbery, nineteen year old Edward Broaster who was sentenced to three years for burglary and twenty-two year old Howard Nicholson who was incarcerated for theft. According to the academy’s director, Nuri Muhammed, the escaped inmates have lost the privilege of serving the remainder of their time at the minimum-security facility. They will not only be transferred to Hattieville but they will also spend extra time for the escape. Police and prison officials are asking anyone knowing the whereabouts of any of the wayward prisoners to call the nearest police station or the Youth Enhancement Academy at 025-3152.
