Belize City Bids Farewell to William Dawson
This afternoon at the Mexico Sports Center in Belize City, dozens of mourners, including government officials, the brass of the Belize Police Department, as well as members of various Belize City gangs, gathered to bid farewell to William Dawson. The chairman of the Leadership Intervention Unit passed away on January twenty-fifth, due to health-related complications. His positive influence in helping to broker peace between feuding gangs has been felt across the Old Capital and today, family, friends, and colleagues came together for a fitting sendoff.
