On the adjournment of today’s House Meeting, Faber rose to caution his colleagues in parliament of possible national security threats that may arise from this decision.
Patrick Faber, Area Representative, Collet
“First madam Speaker we have to be concerned that there might be a serious threat to our national security. This is a major issue. If you listen to the kinds of things Mr. Khan did while he was involved in his acts of terrorism these things will make you shudder. But I will only mention one and we get this information of course many of you would have seen this video circulating where a former Brigadier General of the U.S. Army who I believe was a prosecutor for this case spoke about Mr. Khans deeds. One in particular that he actually mentioned was that this man went to an event strapped with a bomb to assassinate the Pakistani President. This is not light weight, play play. This is a serious man. And while it is there are going to be many cries and explanation, in fact the Minister who held a press conference yesterday went to great pains to say that the man is has been Reformed and he is convinced of that and others too say they have been convinced of that I don’t know you know.”
