Saldivar on Party Leader’s Non-Support “ It’s All in the Past”
And what about his relationship with the leader of the Opposition, Shyne Barrow? While the two once had common ground and goals when Patrick Faber was Opposition Leader, they were on opposite sides of the fence in this upcoming convention. Barrow openly endorsed Saldivar’s opponent George Lovell in Sunday’s race. This morning we asked Saldivar about the possibility of repairing the relationship. According to Saldivar, for him, it’s all in the past, or is it?
John Saldivar, U.D.P. Belmopan Standard Bearer
“You always have to put things behind us and we have got to learn to put things behind us. You won’t solve a problem if you hold on to grudges, malice, and other things. I am not the type of person that looks back; i look forward and I make that clear that I am looking forward to a good relationship, a acertainly improved relationship with my party leader, and I am hoping that he is looking forward to the same.”
Gavin Courtenay
“Have he reached out to you?”
John Saldivar
“I saw a missed call from him during the hustle and bustle of Sunday night, but we will speak eventually.”
