I.M.F. Reps in Belize Conducting Schedule IV Review

A working mission team from the International Monetary Fund (I.M.F.) is in Belize. On Friday, Prime Minister John Briceño met with Phillip Jennings, the Executive Director for Canada, Ireland, and the Caribbean. Jennings and his team are in Belize conducting an Article Four consultation assessing Belize’s economic and financial developments. During these visits, the I.M.F. team meets with several stakeholders, including opposition members, the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the unions. The team is also scheduled to discuss economic and financial policies with government and Central Bank officials.
