P.U.P. unveils land policy at P.G. People’s Assembly
On Friday night the P.U.P.’s People’s Assembly wheeled into Punta Gorda and opposition leader Said Musa used the opportunity to outline his party’s policies on land use and home ownership. For the southernmost district Musa promised the creation of a Toledo Development Corporation to implement a master development plan for the area. With regard to the seemingly insatiable nationwide demand for land and housing, Musa avoided making any outlandish campaign promises, but did pledge a comprehensive reform of government’s land use policies with an emphasis on long range planning, transparency and the removal of land acquisition from partisan politics.
