Cayo motorcyclist seriously injured in collision with cow

Another motorcycle accident, this time on the Western Highway just outside Benque Viejo, has left a Cayo man hospitalized. Twenty year old Marlon Tillett was reportedly driving his motorcycle towards San Ignacio when he collided with a cow between miles seventy one and seventy two. When police arrived on the scene around one fifteen Sunday morning, they found Tillett bleeding on the side of the road not far from his smashed-up motorcycle. While the weekend police bulletin reported Tillett as being dead on arrival at the San Ignacio hospital, a check with Cayo police this afternoon revealed that the cow was the only fatal casualty of the early morning mishap. Tillett, we were told, was first taken to San Ignacio hospital and later transferred to Belmopan where he remains in critical condition.
