Woman Sexually Assaulted in the West; 1 Person Detained
There were no reports of loss of life over the weekend; in fact, according to our archives, there was no gun violence recorded since last Monday. There is, however, a disturbing report of a sexual assault out west. The incident occurred on the fifteenth of February when a forty-five-year-old woman woke up to find that a man was on top of her. The person then fled the scene on her bicycle with an undisclosed amount of cash and her cell phone. Police have since detained one person who the victim has identified. During today’s police press brief, Communications Director, Assistant Superintendent Fitzroy Yearwood told the media that charges have not been levelled on the suspect as yet.

After a few minutes, this person got off her and made good his escape with her cell phone, an amount of money in various denomination and he made good his escape. I know that her bicycle was also stolen. Police investigation, so far, has led to the detention of one person and hopefully we will be bringing charges against that person in the not too far future.”
