Alfredo Ortega, Chairman, Committee of Management, B.S.C.F.A.
“We are thankful that the Cabinet approached the institution of the Commission of Inquiry. That is what we have been asking for and that is why we had the protest on Tuesday. We are thankful that they finally agreed to that and we hope that this is not only the approval of it but we want to see now that it takes place and do what it needs to do. The members that will be within the Commission of Inquiry needs to be people that are professionals and experts in the different areas in that is needed, which is financially, knowledge in regards to marketing, knowledge in regards to business, knowledge in regards to what it takes to manufacture the sugar. So all of those experts need to be within that committee so that we can get the real information and the real cost and value of the services being done by B.S.I.”
