T & T tops in Miss Universe
While as Belizeans we were rooting hard for Miss Belize in last night’s Miss Universe Pageant, when it became apparent that she was out of the running, most of us at least took solace from the performance of Miss Trinidad and Tobago. The statuesque Wendy McWilliam mashed up the competition on the way to winning the prestigious crown in the advertisement-laden pageant held in Hawaii. The result reassured viewers that what’s important is not where you come from but how good — or good looking — you are.
