Prime Minister Esquivel attends C.D.B. meeting in Greneda
Prime Minister Manuel Esquivel has traveled to St. George’s, Grenada for the twenty eighth annual general meeting of the Board of Directors of the Caribbean Development Bank. The meeting, which opens on Tuesday, will run until Friday and will discuss several issues including the alleviation of poverty in the region and new financing initiative for the Bank. At a special meeting of the governors scheduled for tonight, a new president for the Bank will be elected, as the term for the current office holder Sir Neville Nichols has ended. According to reports from the meeting there are two nominees including Sir Neville himself and Doctor Louis Rodriguez an economist from the Latin America Economic System. If Sir Neville is elected it will be his third term as President of the C.D.B.
