Cyril Casimiro is Found Guilty for Rape of a Child
Just before the manslaughter proceedings commenced this afternoon, Justice Antoinette Moore handed down her ruling for other matters. In her verdict in the case of rape of a child against Cyril Casimiro, Justice Moore found him guilty. The case was heard in the Corozal jurisdiction of the Supreme Court. The incident occurred back on April twentieth, 2015 when a fourteen-year-old girl identified Casimiro, a then thirty-five-year-old police officer, as the perpetrator who raped her. The minor reported that while walking home in Altamira Village, she was offered a ride by the officer who took her to the Consejo area and had sex with her against her will. A doctor confirmed that she was carnally known and classified her injury as wounding. Today, Casimiro was found guilty for the rape of a child and taken into custody until sentencing.
