Jungle Rat Gets Life in Prison for Murder
A life sentence was handed down in the courtroom of Justice Herbert Lord earlier today, several months after twenty-seven-year-old Jason Sanchez, also known as Jungle Rat, was convicted of murder. A fixed term of thirty years in prison has been imposed on Sanchez, who will not be eligible for parole until that term has been served. After spending eight years and three months on pretrial detention, Sanchez will live out the remaining twenty-one years behind bars. Sanchez was found guilty in August 2022 for the shooting death of thirty-four-year-old Emerson Arnold who was gunned down eight years earlier.
