Two people die in motorcycle crash in Belize City

Story Picture
As most party goers were on their way home from their favorite night-spot on the Barracks early Friday morning, they became witnesses to one of this holiday weekend’s most tragic accidents. Two people lost their lives in the accident, which happened in front of the Fiesta Inn. Shortly after two o’clock on Friday morning, thirty six year old Belize City resident Arthur Burgess and his female companion, twenty year old Tanisha Ysaguirre Fuller were reportedly headed home after a night of partying at the Millennium nightclub. As Burgess drove his Ninja motorcycle on Newtown Barracks he apparently lost control of the powerful bike and collided head-on with the unforgiving walls of the M.C.C. Grounds. As a result of the impact, Burgess suffered massive head and body injuries and is reported to have died on the spot. Ysaguirre also sustained severe head and body injuries and died shortly after. According to Fuller’s family, the young woman was reluctant to get on the bike Thursday evening, as Burgess, the father of her four year old child is known for his fast, and at times, reckless driving. Needless to say the motorcycle has been totaled.
