Manuel Ramos Out on Bail Following Fatal RTA in Ladyville
On Monday, we told you about the road traffic accident in Ladyville that claimed the life of twenty-two-year-old Joshua Martinez. As we reported, fifty-two-year-old Manuel Ramos was slapped with a slew of charges in connection with the incident, including one count of manslaughter by negligence; one count of causing death by careless conduct; one count of drove motor vehicle without due care and attention; one count of drove motor vehicle with alcohol concentration above the prescribed limit and one count of negligent harm for causing injuries to Tyreec Usher. Ramos was arraigned today before Senior Magistrate, Baja Shoman. No plea was taken from Ramos, as the charges are being dealt with on indictment. There was no objection to bail being granted, so Senior Magistrate Shoman granted him bail in the sum of five thousand dollars, plus one surety or two sureties of two thousand five hundred dollars each. He was also ordered to stay away from the prosecution and other witnesses. Ramos was also ordered to report to the Ladyville Police Station once a week. His next court date is set for May twenty-second.
