Charles Herbert Charged 7 Months after Allegedly Stabbing Brother

A Belize City man is facing an attempted murder charge after he allegedly stabbed his own brother. Forty-one-year-old Charles Herbert is accused of stabbing Ruben Herbert on August twentieth, 2022, in Belize City. Following the incident, a wanted poster was issued for Charles Herbert’s arrest. Today, some seven months later, he appeared unrepresented before Acting Chief Magistrate, Tricia Pitts Anderson, where he was read three charges. Those charges are, Attempted Murder, Use of Deadly Means of Harm and Dangerous Harm. No plea was taken from him and due to the nature of the offenses; he was denied bail and remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until June twenty-first.
