Shopkeeper shoots suspected burglar in Belize City

In crime news, an eighteen year old man was wounded in a shooting incident early this morning in the Kings Park area of Belize City. Forty one year old businessman Chi Zhong Tian told police that he came home around twelve forty five this morning and found the metal shutter covering the front of his establishment open. Tian said that when he went to investigate he saw a man inside his shop. Taking no chances, Tian took out his licensed .38 revolver and fired a shot, hitting the would be burglar on his left foot. He then proceeded to call the police. The culprit has been identified as Roque Rosado and police say appropriate charges against him will be made after the completion of an investigation of the incident.
