New set for News Five
Viewers may have noticed that something on our broadcast looks a little different tonight. After six and a half years of using a studio set that was intended to be replaced after two weeks, we finally got around to building a new set. The concept, featuring shots from previous newscasts, was designed by News Director Stewart Krohn, the desk was crafted by Caribbean Gulf Interiors and the photographs were printed from digitized video by the Bowen and Bowen Print Shop. We have also created a new introduction for the newscast, which follows the same theme. Production work on that presentation was done by Demian Solano of Netkom Internet Solutions using Channel Five’s Media One Hundred editing system and Adobe After Effects software. We hope that you enjoy these new surroundings and promise they will be updated long before six and a half years.
