Former Special Constable Convicted of Sex Crime
Former Special Constable Jeremy Bermudez, accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with a thirteen-year-old female minor back in 2018, is on remand awaiting sentencing tonight after being found guilty of five of eight counts of unlawful sexual intercourse. Bermudez appeared before Justice Antoinette Moore in the presence of attorney Ian Gray and, in his defense, gave sworn evidence from the witness stand, but failed to mention anything about the allegations made against him. He did not admit or deny any wrongdoing. Bermudez’s case concluded last week in the High Court and a decision was reserved for today when he was convicted of a raft of charges. Sentencing is set for April eighteenth, 2023.
