Will Mayor Wagner Run Again for City Council?

Mayor Bernard Wagner has served as mayor for a full term and is currently serving his second. He has been commended for keeping the City Council’s finances out of the red, but criticized for wanting to charge city residents a garbage collection tax. As municipal elections are scheduled for next year, the question arises: Will Wagner run again? The media posed the question to him and this was how he responded.

“I don’t know what’s the party’s plan. The party has a process that they do whenever municipal elections come around, and that process has been tested before, and I leave it up to the party. I have indicated to them certain – my position and, and it’s up to the party.”
