Three murder suspects returned from Mexico

In other crime news, Corozal police have charged three men in connection with the murder of a boledo vendor earlier this month. Twenty four year old Victor Sanker, eighteen year old Jeremy Matura and fifteen year old, Rocky Matura, who jumped the northern border after a shootout with police, were apprehended by Mexican authorities in neighboring Chetumal. They were handed over to Corozal police on Tuesday where they were promptly charged with the crimes of murder and conspiracy to murder. A police press release credits the close cooperation between the Northern Detachment of the Belize police and their counterparts across the border in the quick apprehension of the three suspects. A fourth suspect, Edilberto Medina was captured shortly after the shootout with police in the Four Mile Lagoon area when he was shot on the heel. The four men allegedly went on a crime spree in Corozal on the night of April First, which ended in the shooting death of forty two year old Alejandro Cano.
