Rape suspect formally charged
In other crime news a man detained for the rape of a four year old girl has been formally charged. Nineteen year old Tedford Augustine, not Kenworth as we had previously reported, was today charged in Dangriga Magistrate’s Court with rape, unlawful carnal knowledge and abduction of a minor. It is alleged that Augustine was carrying the girl home from school on his bike on Tuesday in Seine Bight when he took her into some bushes and forced himself upon her. When she arrived home the girl’s grandmother noticed she was bleeding and took her for medical attention.
