Body of elderly man retrieved from the sea

But the roads were not the only place where death was visited this weekend. Shortly after one o’clock this afternoon, police in Belize City retrieved the body of an elderly man from the sea near the old Custom’s House near Fort Point. It has been identified as that of seventy three year old Patricio Lopez a resident of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. According to relatives Lopez worked as an engineer with the Caribbean Queen cargo boat. According to police initial investigation reveals that Lopez was last seen alive late Sunday evening. The cause of death will be determined by a post mortem examination scheduled for later this week at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital morgue.
