“Belize is honoured to host this second regional congress to serve as a dedicated space for sharing information, experiences, lessons and knowledge management on the region’s main environmental issues. The conference is, of course, happening at a time when our countries are facing multiple challenges relating to limited economic growth, pollution, biodiversity loss and the incremental adverse effects of climate change further compounded by inflation resulting from disruptions in value chains. Thus, today’s challenges demand more than ever integration, cooperation and partnership – all of which have been central to the overcoming of these common challenges faced by all present. Through our partnership, we have developed and implemented numerous projects and programs creating a community of change.”
