Prominent tourism figure dies
A prominent figure in Belize’s Tourism Industry has passed away. Homer Leslie, owner of Native Guide Systems in Belize City died last evening at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after a long bout with liver cancer. Up until the time of his passing, Leslie was serving his second consecutive term as president of the Belize National Tour Operators Association. He leaves to mourn, his wife Louise and fourteen children. Funeral services for Leslie will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Wesley Church in Belize City. Until a replacement is named by the board of directors, Vice-President Tom Greenwood will act as president of the Association.
