All-points bulletin issued for murder suspect

Story Picture
Police are still trying to identify and locate the suspect in last Friday’s brutal slaying of a young mother and her unborn child in the village of La Democracia. The only information police have to go on so far is that the man goes by the name of “Dawood”. They also believe that he has not yet fled the country and has put authorities at all border crossings on alert in case anyone fitting the vague description given to police shows up. But with little to go on by way of positive identification, the task of bringing in the suspect is not going to be an easy one. Unless luck is on the police side. And that is exactly what they are hoping will happen, and it may have. While surfing the internet earlier this week, our news team came across the following pictures and information on the F.B.I.’s list of fugitives that seem to match the M.O. of the man police are looking for. The man on the F.B.I. list goes by the name Eddie Orlandus Lee, is approximately six feet tall, weighs around a hundred and seventy pounds and uses a number of aliases, including that of Talib Orlandus Al Ameen. Police have in their custody a videotape made at a Muslim religious service in January in which the suspect “Dawood” was identified, though not clearly. But close computer comparisons of the F.B.I. pictures and the one taken from the videotape done in our newsroom and shared with police seem to match. If that is the case, then police may be one step closer to knowing who they are looking for. Late this afternoon, we were told by a source at the United States embassy in Belize City that better enhanced pictures of Eddie Orlandus Lee are being sent to Belize from the Virginia State police. Lee is wanted in that state for shooting a police officer and attacking a number of other people.
