Shyne Barrow Explains Faber’s Reentry as Collet Standard Bearer
Earlier in the news we heard from the Leader of the Opposition, Moses ‘Shyne’ Barrow share his views on the Minister of Home Affairs and the Commissioner of Police in their respective posts and on the government ending the Boledo contract with Brads. This afternoon Barrow hosted a press briefing where he spoke on several other issues including the developments within his own party. Of course, the biggest recent update is that that Barrow has welcomed the return of the former leader of the opposition Patrick Faber to the U.D.P. fold. Earlier this week, the previous U.D.P Standard Bearer for the Collet Division, Ian Jones resigned from that position, effectively making way for the Faber to make his re-entry as standard bearer in that division.

“It has been a commitment of mine to resolve that matter to everyone’s satisfaction. I have been working behind the scenes since last year. Since becoming party leader, it is a work in progress. It was a work in progress that has led us to this point where all parties involved felt comfortable enough, in particular Mr. Jones felt comfortable enough that we were at a turning point that would see us move forward together, united, together, focused on all of the national urgent matters and having a democratic process internally where people can express their dissenting views and differing perspectives, but protecting the integrity and reputation of the institution, by always, prioritizing public interests over whatever personal matters may arise from having differing viewpoints internally.”
