Butane truck overturns on Northern Highway
By the start of this morning’s rush hour the obstruction had been towed off the road but for the previous twelve hours the butane truck had blocked the Northern Highway. Traffic was backed up for as much as a half mile in each direction as authorities were fearful that a spark from a passing vehicle could ignite the leaking gas. The truck, belonging to Belize Western Energy, had apparently suffered a blowout and went out of control.
