C.X.C Has Taken Security Measures To Prevent A Repeat of The Breach
The breach is one of several that have occurred in recent years and in this case, the information was spread across social media platforms. In that case, it would have reached many countries. In answering questions from the media across the region, Wesley said that C.X.C has informed the Jamaican Ministry of Education and that it may call in the police to take action as well. He also gave assurances that there are safety measures in place to prevent a recurrence of this incident.
Dr. Wayne Wesley, Registrar and C.E.O, C.X.C.
“We are capable of indicating the location and where we have not named any particular individual. We have reported this to the ministry and we are working with them as we seek to the definitive remedy to the situation. We have not yet called in the police in this regard, but all those are options available to us as we seek to go further in what has transpired. Normally, once there’s a breach of your protocol, you would have to conduct a review of the activity and what would have led to this particular situation. As I said to you, we have been reviewing and enhancing our costly management processes right across the region to spread the paper delivery prior to the examinations. And so we are in the process of right now conducting regional audits of all our local operations to ensure that they are conforming to our security protocol.”
