P.M. Briceño Breaks Down Brads’ Boledo Proceeds
According to P.M. Briceño, it would appear that Brads Gaming Group Limited, may have been underreporting its annual earnings prior to government monitoring their sales activities. Here’s how the prime minister put it during his presentation in the House of Representatives.
Prime Minister John Briceño
“So, in 2022, guess what, sales gone up.”
Cordel Hyde
“More people buy da Belize.”
Prime Minister John Briceño
“More people buy da Belize, yes. All of a sudden. Fifty point two million dollars. In 2017, five point eight million. In ten years, they reported a hundred and twenty-eight million [dollars], now in one year, fifty million dollars. Fifty million dollars in one year.”
Cordel Hyde
“Because you’re checking.”
Prime Minister John Briceño
“Because we di check and dehn still noh di check dehn properly, the way it’s supposed to be. Imagine, ten years of Brads’ boledo, a hundred and twenty-eight million dollars under the UDP and under the PUP, in one year, when dehn realize, forty-eight million, fifty million. They paid business tax later on of seventy-nine thousand, again the profit sharing is capped at five hundred thousand. Eleven point one million dollars, that’s what the people of this country get. So you could see why Barrow and Williams di spend all ah dehn effort di try get back dis contract. Dehn seh dehn noh wahn di contract, gimme back mi money. I wahn di profits, but dehn noh wahn show sales a five million now you know. Dehn seh da fifty million and we mi done project that ih mih gwein me noh know how much more. Because dehn di hope that dehn could just cream that and dehn noh haftu work fi di rest ah dehn life.”
