Imari Galvez Laid to Rest; Family Still Has No Answers
Meanwhile, the funeral for the nineteen-year-old was held this evening in the Maya Mopan area of Belmopan where she lived. Galvez was found murdered on Tuesday evening off the Hummingbird Highway and police have since detained popular football player, Woodrow West, who lived with Galvez for a few months. The two had problems and Galvez moved back home with her mother. It was from her mom’s house that she left on Saturday night around midnight and that was the last time the family saw her. The police have yet to give an interview on the murder. Today, Galvez’ relative told News Five that they are still waiting for answers as they prepared to bury her.
On the Phone: Voice of Relative
“This morning when I went in the station, they just called me in for questioning because I was with her Friday night, but other than that, they’re just questioning people, asking about this one about that one and we don’t know -like if they’re ignoring us too, because, you know, if we would have had the correct resources and some, because we, it’s the first time we’re going through this. We don’t know what to do, we don’t know who to go to, we don’t know who to call. They told us about a lawyer, I got in contact with him. He said he would call me later, but then everything is just a rush for us right now, so…”
“And the family doesn’t have a suspect of your own?”

“No, no, we don’t.”
