Darnell Arnold Is Acquitted of Murder of Philmore King
Twenty-five-year-old Darnell Arnold walked out of court a free man after the murder case against him fell through today. The office of the Director of Public Prosecutions entered a case of nolle prosequi against Arnold, who had spent almost five years on remand. No reason was given in court for the discontinuation of the case against Arnold, but we were reliably informed that it was due to a lack of evidence to prove the charge before Justice Ricardo O’Neil Sandcroft. Arnold was accused of the June ninth, 2018 murder of twenty-six-year-old Philmore King, who was killed on his verandah in Hattieville. According to the police report back in 2018, they visited King’s residence on Peter Lewis Street in Hattieville and found King on the floor with a bullet wound to the back of the head. He died shortly thereafter.
