Paguada Brothers Appear in Court for Murder Trial
Siblings Delson and Tione Paguada, as well as Timothy Carcamo, are also on trial for the murder of thirty-two-year-old Paul Jex that occurred in San Pedro in January 2018. Earlier today, a trial by judge without jury commenced before Justice Nigel Pilgrim in the High Court. The Paguada brothers and fifty-year-old Carcamo are accused of the shooting death of Paul Jex, a well-known street figure who migrated to San Pedro from Belize City.
All three men are being represented by attorney Leeroy Banner. The Crown’s witness testified to being in the San Pedrito area at the time of the shooting and saw three individuals, including Delson and Tione Paguada, appear from the lagoon side and accosted a man riding a bicycle. That man was later identified as Paul Jex. The woman, under oath, told the court that Tione had a gun in his hand and fired several shots at Jex.
He tried to run but fell to the ground, that’s when the witness said a tall, skinny man approached and shot Jex in the head. All three persons then ran towards the lagoon and made good their escape.
