L.I.U. Soon to Appoint a New Chairperson

The Leadership Intervention Unit is preparing to appoint a new person to head the unit. The post has been vacant since the untimely passing of William Dawson. Today, Kareem Musa, the Minister of Home Affairs, confirmed that they are negotiating a contract with an individual. News Five understands that Community Advocate, Dominque Noralez is that candidate. Here is what Musa told us this afternoon.

“Yes, in principle, but we are still waiting to sign the contract with the individual. A very well known person to you guys, but it’s going to be in the next week or two. You’ll learn her name.”

“Okay, what can you tell us about her in terms of what made you, or what made you all choose her?”

“She was already a part of the leadership intervention unit, so you’ll probably be able to narrow it down very soon. She recently concluded her degree program and she’s now back home. And like I said, in principal, she has agreed, so I would, I’m hoping that we can finalize that agreement very, very soon. Certainly she will have to have the support and a good relationship with all of the partners on the ground. But at the same time like I mentioned on the untimely passing of Brother William Dawson, that his role, because he really served many functions would have to be taken up by multiple individuals. In terms of the current mediation situation, we have a lot of individuals who are filling that role, uh, and doing an excellent job at it.”
