Man Chopped During Domestic Dispute in Cayo

A domestic dispute in San Ignacio led to the chopping of a man. Police say the incident happened on Panama Street and when officers responded to the scene, they found George Lopez with multiple chop wounds. Information, according to police is that Lopez went to his mother’s house and got into a dispute with a relative. A.C.P Hilberto Romero gave the details this evening.

“On Sunday, 18th day of June, 2023 at about 2:30 a.m., police visited Panama Street where they found George Lopez with chop wounds to the body. Information is that he went to a house belonging to his mother when he had an altercation with his brother-in-law who inflicted the chop wounds on him. We have one person in custody, Luis Mendez who will be arrested and charged for dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm.”
