ACP Hilberto Romero, Regional Commander, Eastern Division
“Police visited an area behind the cemetery in Camalote Village where they found the lifeless body of Wilmer Ordonez, twenty-five-years of age with gunshot injuries. He was motionless apparently dead. Information is that there was an altercation between Wilmer Ordonez and a male person identified as Jose Reyes in the area which led to the shooting. Wilmer Ordonez was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The information we are getting is that this stemmed from a domestic dispute and at some point this person Jose Reyes arrived with a shotgun and fired at the deceased and the two females.”
Reports are that Maria Guevera and Wilmer Ordonez got into an argument. Guevera reportedly left and later returned with Reyes. One eyewitness, a friend of the deceased, says he saw when Maria Guevera returned on a motorcycle with the alleged shooter.
Jose Samoya, Eyewitness
“It happened this way, we were sitting at around seven thirty. I saw a motorcycle pass this way and then it went back. He then told me to go by the roadside with the flash light. He went ahead of me. I then saw two person over that side. I told him not to go. But he didn’t listen to me. He went and then I heard then arguing.”
Samoya says he then saw the alleged shooter hit Ordonez in the face with a shotgun before shooting him. According to the Samoya, the shooter then turned his weapon on Maria and Luzbin Ordonez, Wilmer’s sister.
“One of the men hit him in the face with the shotgun. He fell down and then his ex-wife began to stab him. We struggled to take away the knife but then the man with the shotgun shot Wilmer in the face. Then Maria, who was with Wilmer, reacted to this but the man shot her in the stomach. He then fired a third shot towards Wilmer’s sister who was hit on the shoulder. We tried to help but we couldn’t. We ran away.”
The alleged shooter remains in hiding as he is being sought by police.
