Kareem Musa Pleads the Fifth on Nah’s Ammunition Case

Kareem Musa

When asked about the turn of events regarding the ammunition case against Elmer Nah and the co-accused, Home Affairs Minister Kareem Musa told reporters that since the matter remains an issue before the court, he would not go into details of the case.

Kareem Musa, Minister of Home Affairs

“In terms of a legal proceeding, if that is still a live issue, that’s not something that I can comment on.  At the conclusion of either the disciplinary tribunal or the criminal case that is before the courts, I can comment at that stage but it’s not appropriate for me to do so at this point.”

Reporter

“The reason why I ask is because this same police officer went to court and told that story that the bullets were his but the vehicle he placed them in wasn’t the vehicle that Mr. Nah was found in.”

Kareem Musa

“Like I said, I don’t know, you’re probably at the case, I’m not sitting in the case, so I don’t know what was said.”

Reporter

“Is that concerning?”

Kareem Musa

“I don’t know what was said.  When the case has concluded, we will look at the evidence and we will look at the finding of the judge and then we can comment at that stage because right now it would be premature for me to comment on what you are telling me something was said.”
